rs_games Sign-ups End 5/29!

I know that many of you are in the midst of Memorial Day Weekend shenanigans, but I wanted to offer a quick mention that sign-ups for the fifth annual Remus/Sirius Games close at the end of the day on Tuesday, May 29. We welcome all writers and artists who love or are interested in trying their hand at this pairing, so please come sign up for Team Remus or Team Sirius! The prompts list goes up on June 1, and works are due September 21. Previous years have produced stellar works from some of the finest talent in the fandom. This year's Games will include participants of all levels of experience, and from around the globe, so come join, and make some new fandom friends! You can also add the comm to your watch list, and you will find yourself richly rewarded with new R/S gems, come October.

Ode to HP SHIRTS GALORE!!!

I came up with this idea for making shirt designs because I really wanted a shirt that showed off my love of Harry Potter in a cool, pretty way, but also my stance on gay rights.

I hope you guys remember my Dumbledore quote shirt? Under the cut:

So, I've made a bunch of new ones! Including two that aren't Harry Potter references (Alice in Wonderland & Monty Python) and a generic Hogwarts one (it's glows-in-the-dark!!) but no matter what, I'm giving 50% of the commission I earn to http://www.freedomtomarry.org/ **And as of today, I've earned $56, so that's $28 to Marriage Equality!! lol, it looks pathetic, but maybe it'll motivate buyers??? And the other half is just enough to cover this new shirt (so I could check the quality) (and have it, lol).

You may remember my post/poll asking for preferences (poll's still open), so I made this – one is modern-y vector-y and comes with 3 interchangeable colours, and the other is painted by me and a pixel graphic printed on the shirt.

It's come out really, really well - I ordered it and waited for it to arrive before I posted it to check the quality of the print on a darker material, and it's great!! I have some close-ups under the cut:

I've also made hoodies and randomly different colours available, and I can really make anything you want available - just let me know. I can also easily do any other quote or colour scheme.

HP May Madness!!!!

Are you ready for a new, fun May Challenge? 31 days of lusty madness!

We’d like to challenge you and ourselves to write 200 words (or more) every day for the month of May. That sounds like fun, right?

Have you always wanted to do NaNoWriMo but don’t have time for over one thousand words a day? Need a little prompting from the studio audience? This is the place. We’ll have daily prompts and some challenges within the challenge. Of course, you don’t have to use them (yeah we’re easy that way… probably in other ways too). Watching "Breaking Dawn"

For those who liked my essay comparing Harry Potter to Twilight, I just wrote up my experience sitting through "Breaking Dawn" on DVD. You can read it here. Warning to younger readers, some bad language is involved.

And yes, copious amounts of whiskey were involved. Like you even need to ask?
